ABOUT THE ARTIST

WHEE

(b.1984- Korea, lives and works in Manila and Seoul)

Whee¡¯s practice spans multiple mediums, merging sculpture, collage, and painting into cohesive and poetic narratives. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sculpture from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2011 and her Master of Fine Arts from Seoul National University in 2015. Her works have been exhibited in major institutions such as the Metropolitan Museum of Manila and the Pintô Art Museum in the Philippines, including the exhibition Wild Women Abstractionists on Nature at the Metropolitan Museum. Currently based between Manila and Seoul, she continues to create and exhibit works that challenge and inspire.
